It's hard to put into words just how dominant Eddy Merckx was during the late 1960's and early 1970's. He stunned his rivals with his power, his endurance and his ability to master every terrain, weather and season. At times he was quite simply unstoppable.

Bursting onto the scene with a stunning Milan-Sanremo win in 1966, the man whose insatiable appetite to win led to him being named Le Cannibal simply didn't let up for the next 10 years. At the peak of his powers he was winning every third race he entered - a record of diversity that will never come close to being equalled.

We've created a Christmas special, celebrating and illustrating Eddy Merck's incredible career in the one day Classics.
